This went up on Facebook this afternoon:


The 2020 OPS show is still on for 10/29-31, 11/1. The room block is set up. Check out the web page theohiopenshow.com Things will be different this year given the virus. Some will not want to attend due to the virus. Yes we will be asking you to wear a mask and hand sanitizer will be available. I have been working retail at our three Antique malls since May 8. It's not that difficult. Send questions, Terry

I wonder if it'll actually happen, and if it does what the turnout will be.

questions: have you gone to the Ohio Show before? Would you consider going this year?

I've been a sponsor for the last 5 years or so and I am conflicted. I'd love, love to go to a pen show. I just don't know about this year.

please let's not get fighty in this thread ok?

Man, I hear you Tim. I haven't missed an Ohio Show in years and it feels like such a long long time since there has been a show - Baltimore, I think. I feel exactly like you do. I'd love to have my regular table, but.... What to do? What to do?

Not get "fighty"? On FPG? I thought FPG stood for Fight, Punch, and Growl

I wouldn't attend, even if nearby, and I'm missing going to shows as much as the next person. That's all I'll say.

If it were near me, and if I knew only a few people were going, then I would go. But crowds? I still can't deal.

I am a vendor, and I’m not going. It’s my favorite show. I’m surprised that was listed.

I'm a newbie, I haven't been to a pen show. I'd love to attend one someday, but not this year. :)

Maybe, if they're giving away really nice pens to everyone.

today:

After surveying a majority of the 2019 table holders, it has become clear that we can not proceed with the show. There are not enough table holders to support the expenses of the show. The concern regarding the current COVID 19 situation and the potential for it getting worse is preventing the participation of just about everyone not wanting to attend. Let's hope for a vaccine in the near future so that we might put COVID 19 behind us.

would love a good vaccine for sure.
