LOOKS GREAT ...

Thank you for sharing SeaLemonDIY from youtube. She is great and really makes it understandable on how to actually make book.

Ill photo bomb here ... I made my first Coptic stitched book. Now its just with copy paper and a cereal box for the cover but I wanted to see if I could acutally follow how to do it and make one.

Two things I have learned, when you make a mistake, admit it - and when credit is due, give it.

Just thought I would share the notebook and video source.

@cwent2

What glue did you use for the cover paper?

When I zoomed in you can see it came out super smooth.

AND... I meant to say before I love the paper you used for the cover!

Your not going to believe it - but Elmers Carpenter's Wood Glue - after all paper is made of wood (pun intended)

Thanks, again, the paper is watermarked NEKOOSA BOND 25% COTTON. I have no idea when, where or how I got it - it may have been some paper laying around the house from my mom, I really don't know where it came from - but it is nice to write on, most pens and inks do well on it.

40 sheets folded in half 4 per signature - ten signatures stitched together - taken from SeaLemondiy on youtube - the videos are step by step and very well done.

I found the cover as a clip art jpeg somewhere and just printed it on regular paper

Hello everybody!

Some pics of my work with books.

Just took some wall paper I had and put it into the covers...

The paper is some average white paper (75g), size A4.

Thanks!

@ kemuri ~ Well done!

Those came out great.

I love hearing what materials people come up with to cover their books.

Wall paper, whoda thunk it -- Great idea, again thinking outside the "box'.

Great Job @ kemuri

Thank you, guys!

I was wondering about what to use. Then I saw some leftover wall paper I had.

Turns out it was great to work with! It has no glue so the paper is prepared to "suck" any glue you apply without bubbles.

I'll finish some more and then I'll post the pics. I'm trying different stitches.

These are all very nice! How do the books lie when they're open?

The ones I did, with the coptic stitches, lies completely flat when opened.

Thanks!

As do mine because you do not glue the spine and thus the spine can flex - kinda like a nib, but different.
