So here is the new nib with the Pelikan M805 italic. The first one did not work and needed replacing. Please forgive the horrible writing. It is dark and I have bad penmanship. I will try to do a better job later today including a few more inks.391739183919

Nice pen. I think Pelikan should make the nib all rhodium plated for that model though.

Totally agree, it would look so much better if the nib was monotone, for me it just looks a little weird with the rhodium trim and duo tone nib. Having said that I wouldn't say no to one. How shallow is that!

I've seen this model in some of the online shops and often get tempted, but M805 is a bit too big for my hands. Is the factory italic nib available in other Souveran series (eg. M6XX or M4XX)?

Hi Kai,

I've only ever seen the factory italic nib available on the M8xx series pens, but that's not to say they aren't available for other models, I've just not seen any. Cheers

There is a gold plated stainless steel medium italic nib that is sold on the M200's. That would fit the M400's as well. Could be one option.

I just purchased a 1.0 mm for my M200. It was NOS at a local pen shop I recently discovered.

That looks like a really nice writing nib. Wish I could find one in the UK. Great find!

You might want to drop Peter Twydle at the Pen Museum an email about the nibs. There are still some of Pelikan's Calligraphy nibs listed on the spares page: http://www.penmuseum.co.uk/spares.htm

If these aren't what is being referred to in earlier posts, someone please jump in and let me know.

Hope this helps.
