Hi, I got this MB 149 at a flea market. Can you help me confirm that it's real? Here are the pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ivEVY6FYxyUV04HkRfuKvR0_N-H-Hh3B?usp=sharing

Hello theodore94, It's a 149. Congratulations! From the photos, its age can be clearly determined. With that nib, feed, & collar showing a two-piece barrel, it was made between 1985 & 1990 if it has black plastic piston threads and in late 1990 to 1991 if it has brass piston threads. Very nice pen. Hope you enjoy using it. Best wishes, Barry

Wow, wish I had flea markets near me...

EDIT: Congratulations by the way, that's a real winner there!

Thanks so much, and thanks for helping me date it! Yes, I've found a lot of great pens at yard sales/flea markets around my house. My best find so far (I think) was a beautiful MB Noir et Noir in great shape for ~$100 last year -- https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GsFHobPjfIqHdVSJI1M9G_rSfuG3URF2?usp=sharing

Very nice! There is a steady supply of Montblanc pens in the flea markets of south-central Pennsylvania, I presume because of the huge number of them out there that end up in decedents' estates, then to beneficiaries that have no interest, and finally to auctions.

Thank you thank you thank you.
I'll be looking in Waynesboro this weekend after the event at Bertrams Inkwell.
I had a feeling PA was going to be a gold mine...

I've had a lot of luck in South East PA! I know flea markets/yard sales are time consuming, but there's nothing like finding a great deal on a great pen out in the wild (=
