I posted in the Parker forum a few days ago about a pen I was gifted a long time ago, and I thought that some of you might be interested to see the rest of my grandad's "home office" paraphernalia and equipment. They are all made of black marble with golden veins, and there is a rocker blotter, a letter stand, a combined inkwell and elephant statue (!), a letter opener and what I think is a wax seal stamp, but it's just flat on the stamp end with no crest or anything. There are absolutely no dates, company insignias or other identifying marks on the items. I think that my grandad might have made them himself, except for the bronze elephant. It's likely they were purchased, or made at the end of the 1940s.

I've collected a heap of photos of the stuff in a Google Photos album, if you are interested!

Thank you all! I am still thinking about how to best put it to use. I do need to get my Parker Vacumatic fixed as the first step, though. :)

Stunning! Thanks for sharing!

Clearly you need that new Visconti black marble pen I've seen advertised!

Seeing I'm not you, I can't see your photographs.
German Marble single and double ink well sets. The other material ones will be done later.
I'd guess most of them to be after 1900...some in the 20's in Bauhaus style.
It is a problem sometimes what is Bauhaus, what is Art Decco.
Missing glass inserts...got to drive down to the Black Forest to a glass blowing factory someday. 1/3 of my 30 single and double inkwell sets are missing glass inserts.

They are what I call stagecoach proof. Thank you very much for the first link. I'm writing a western saga....city slicker style...where all the crooks, crooked gamblers, crooked politicians gang up on the innocent fools ....opera (after all how can you have a western with out opera when three of the top ten female singer in the world were American & every 4 house town had an opera house....three horse towns had a variety theater where they also did opera.) ), ink wells and dip pens....and the propelling pencils and vet pocket expanding dip pens will help.

I think the Ebay link will be of most help....in US mail will near double the cost of what ever I order from there.
