Parker Lucky Curve

I'm new to the Parker pens and am curious as to the differences between the Parker Lucky Curve and the Duofold. I see the Duofolds fetching big bucks on ebay but the Lucky Curves not so much. I have an opportunity to purchas an unrestored (but in good shape) Lucky Curve but am not sure as to what i should be spending. My intentions are to restore the pen and possibly resell. What do the restored Lucky Curves usually go for? Also, any recommendations on how to properly restore the filling system if needed?

I have experience in restoring pens (Waterman’s, swans, sheafers) but never a Parker. With pens I’ve done in the past, I clean them with an ultrasonic, polish any metal, polish the barrels to remove surface scratches, polish the tension bar if it’s a lever filler, new ink sac, nib work, etc. Parker pens aren’t necessarily any different than any other pen but I have not restored a button filler.

I'd use that pen as parts and not try to resell.

The pen is essentially a Duofold before Jade pens got the Duofold name.

It looks like a Senior size.

If the asking price is 145 it is to much for a pen and that condition in my opinion.

That looks like a $45 to me. Isn't the mark before the 4 a dollar sign? Button fillers aren't tough. Just pull the button and pressure bar before you try to unscrew the section. Parker used a rosin based thread sealant as a thread lock, so you sometimes need to warm the barrel before it unscrews.

I've seen worse, much worse. Knurling on blind cap and inner cap (top) is decent, the imprint is pretty good too. The color isn't a bright jade, but some of the pens did turn this color. The barrel isn't brown, the trim is flat, but may polish up a bit with a little Wenol, the nib looks good. The stains on the cap may come off too. If there are no cracks, it'll be a decent pen once it's restored, and you can enjoy writing with a classic pen.
