Now that I am an unemployed grad student for the summer, it's time to get some of the Esties I'd repaired out into the world!
This is one Blue J with a 9048 flexible fine nib. I replaced both the j bar and sac and the pen is working great! The nib gives nice line variation, but I wouldn't say it's super-flexy. It is definitely fun to write with though.
I should note that there is some slight discoloration on the barrel. There is a little bit of the barrel that is looks gray, and I can't tell whether or not it's from the manufacturing process or not. Other than that, the pen has almost zero wear on it.
This particular one was "Made in England".
