Hello all,

I have a Meisterstück Solitaire Blue Hour LeGrand Rollerball (https://www.montblanc.com/en-us/rollerball-pens_cod34480784411804029.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAxp-ABhALEiwAXm6Iyej08o0RsYYQJD1h7Hk9Z7aeCwmif1c2Hk1uo LdJd5ve_7xCyUs54RoC9nwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds).

My question is, can this be changed to the fountain pen (https://www.montblanc.com/en-us/fountain-pens_cod22527730565448130.html) version? Going by the MB website the dimensions of the two are identical. The cap and the body look the same. Is it just a matter of buying the nib? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks,
Peter

It's not possible to change the RB to a FP at all.

If only it were an option they offered (a C/C section for the RB)

I don't think they even do a C/C section in that size.

I remember once asking if they could turn a 147 into a 146 and that was a resounding no too.

C/C pens lend themselves to this kind of thing. A piston filler fountain pen, though, has no path from a rollerball. Rollerbal has no blind cap. You'd have to acquire piston filler parts or a section for a cartridge or converter. What's the motivation for a company like Montblanc that probably takes a dim view of such conversions -- cheapens the line, not high end enough.
