Hi Guys

Whats the Modern Equivalent of Vac Sealant and Vac Lubricant used in the restoration of Parker Vacumatics

Vac lubricant (what you use to facilitate insertion of the filler unit in the barrel) is supposed to be pure glycerine (glycerol). You can buy it from Richard Binder (Richardspens.com). As for folding the diaphragm, you can use either pure talc or graphite. For sealing the section in the barrel, it's best to use rosin-based sealant (e.g. that sold by Ron Zorn of Mainstreet Pens) rather than shellac, to make it easier to remove the section later if necessary.
