So over the years as I’ve grown my knowledge on fountain pens and my obsession and appreciation for the art of fine writing and fine writing instruments I’ve leaned on other members of the community. Hence my membership and active participation in this forum. So when I got in contact with David Figboot and had the opportunity to lend my help to him I was thrilled!

I lent David my Montblanc Boheme, a pen I had recently bought locally, for him to do a review. Here’s the link for anyone who’s interested in his review. Along with the Boheme, I sent two other pens. One a gift and the other another pen for review. It was pretty cool to see him review my pen along with a shout out!

I think the pens were in pretty good hands.

I have the large Boheme as well and my jaw dropped when David placed it next the to the 149 and didn’t quite register how big it is. It was my first MB and I bought it unaware that it was a cartridge filled retractable pen. The nib is spectacular and the the review inspired me to ink it up again. A lot has been written about the difficulty cleaning it. Running the nib under water and using a bulb syringe to blow out the rest does work. Thank you!
