I've been looking at midori notebooks for a while now and I have seen one which should be released very soon. It is a collaboration with Nigel Calbourn, the notebook has the British broad arrow imbedded in the leather.

Now I've been thinking and the passport size looks like it could be a reasonable size for a wallet. Especially since it has the pockets that could be used as card holders and coin holders.

I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked?

I've done it occasionally, not sure Bout long term, it doesn't seem it'd fit in a man's pants pocket? But in a purse or day bag it is doable!

I have thought about it but the open ended-ness of the notebook has me leery about loosing important stuff. I am currently using my Filofax (Lindhurst personal size) with zipper closure as a wallet.

Realizing that #filofax personal size is a viable platform for an #ipadmini padfolio case with minimal modifications. @filofax (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ivan_romero/9314100457/) by IvanRomero (http://www.flickr.com/people/ivan_romero/), on Flickr

Ohh my days it looks lovely! I can only find it on http://www.misc-store.com/midori-nigel-cabourn-army-edition-travelers-notebook/

It's a bit pricey compared to the other notebooks but I've been waiting for it to come out since Christmas.

I guess I do only need one kidney...

That is pricey, then again it is an LE I suppose.

I've often thought about the reverse - using a leather wallet as a notebook cover.
Picked up a really nice leather one at a shopping centre but it was just a little to small to fit a Fieldnotes notebook....next time I'll take a notebook with me.
