I have noticed that whenever I click on New Posts, rarely if ever I see new posts in inks reviews or inky goodness. There might be other sub forums also. But it seems that it mostly caters to classified. Is this normal?

Can you do something to correct it...

Thanks

Mine seems to be entirely random. I'm sure there's a set of tickboxes somewhere to control what you see (I know some areas are excluded by default), but I can't quite work out which!

Mine too. Very haphazard with a lot of focus on classified... :(

When I click on the New Posts tab I think I see all new posts since I last viewed except Politics etc. At least it always tells me that. Admittedly most are Classified ads but I always mark that forum read so I don't see them.
Occasionally I've noticed an odd new post that I missed on a particular forum, but that has mainly happened when I've logged out and logged in again. I hardly ever log out.

So, I'm not alone. My question is will Eric take action or do something about it?
If I'm not subscribed to the ink review forum, I will miss all your reviews.... or inky thoughts...

It is just a filtered search and, as far as I can tell, there is no way for a user to customise it:

I don't subscribe to anything anywhere. I always just click on the New Posts Tab upper left.

I never click on New Posts as I find it too aggravating. What I like to do, and I do this on all forums, is click on Today's Posts since that's really what I want to see anyway.

Usually New Posts is the the same as unread posts (I haven't checked on this forum) so if you have already clicked on something, it won't show it because it thinks you've read it.

Thanks. It took me sometime to find it... I wonder why they don't put that on prominence

It will still show it, but only if there have been replies since you last looked. If there are no New Posts it shows you all of the latest posts but tells you there have been no updates since you last looked.
