After many months of pushing through, I finally realized a mini-dream of mine: To capture what I learned from combining this fountain pen and sketching hobby together.

First of all, I don't claim to be a sketching guru, there are far better sketchers and artists in that regard. But I think over these years I have discovered a way for us in this hobby to continuously use our nice (hard earned or hard found) pens and inks, in a way that could result in a lifelong records of your improved observation and appreciation of life.

This and more is encapsulated in the form of an ebook. Why ebook? Because it's easy to distribute, and more importantly, to update with more content based on feedback. Try to do that with a paper book, it will soon be both financially disastrous (for me) and prohibitive in lag time (for the readers).

Link to the e-book (https://sketchfp.gumroad.com/l/jceFTz) with preview of the content.

The goal of this ebook is simple. To share what I have learned on how to make sketching a part of one's daily activity, making it one of the better ways to enjoy this hobby even more. I am still learning, which is why I will have more to share in the future.

This ebook is not for me to teach you how to imitate my style. As a reader (not saying that you are or care to be one), you will come up with your own, which will be different and better than mine. The only question that matter is: Do you enjoy sketching enough to continue? And by following the mindset guides and pointers I have put into this ebook, I hope the answer is 'Yes'.

Based on the feedback that I got from some of the buyers, everyone seem to like the chapter on Ink Washes.

One of the best thing about ebook (and the main reason why I chose that format) is that it's updatable, and extensible.

Therefore I am already working on some additional contents which will be available to all who bought the ebook (no extra cost), such as the making of this particular sketch:

Will, I don't have a dedicated e-reader. Can your book be downloaded and read on a PC?

David. For sure.

It's in PDF, which you can read anywhere.

On Adobe PDF Reader that I've test it with, the index are hyperlinks that lets you jump around chapters and back. Quite handy.

Will, Could it be read on an Amazon Kindle?

Chrissy, I tried it on the App, which the ebook loads and can be read just fine. But for some reason the hyperlinks on the index does not work on the App.
I don't have the actual Kindle device, I hope those have better support of PDF features such as the hyperlinks.

Have purchased! Looking forward to reading it when I get time (in lockdown here but working hard from home).

Thank you for your support, David.
To reiterate why I choose the ebook format, it's because I can create new versions containing corrections, updates, extra content, based on feedbacks from the readers (I have several already).

So if you have any feedback, email me at redeempens at gmail.
Please don't PM me here. I absolutely not in a friendly terms with this forum's PM system :)

Yesterday I uploaded a new version of the ebook.
Existing owners can re-download the PDF file, and new buyers will get this latest by default.

This is why I love the ebook format.
This update contains some typo corrections, some clarified Take-Away exercise descriptions, and a new page containing another of my sketch to illustrate the point.
