When I try to edit a post I get empty content instead of the post. See this message (http://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread.php/3533-Vintage-Collectors-Share-your-experience?p=41076&viewfull=1#post41076).

Hah, I was about to post the same problem.

Also, embedding images doesn't work any more.

Must have. When I try to edit the post listed in the OP I get nothing. I feel just like Sergeant Schultz.

Hm. I can edit my comment(s) in this thread, but not my comment (http://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread.php/1963-How-Many-Pens-Do-You-Have-Inked?p=41085&viewfull=1#post41085) in the "How many pens do you have inked?" thread. A little annoying, since the post there doesn't make a lot of sense without a picture in it.

What I keep getting is being bumped out of the editing screen after every caracture is entered, I have to keep clicking back into the edit screen to add the next letter, but not every time.

I have had the same problem for two or three days.

The only work around I came up with is to copy the entire original post (Ctrl-C), then hit edit. Then paste (Ctrl-V) the original back into the edit box and make the changes. A bit of a pain but it works.

That kinda worked but I found it was best to just blow off the original content and retype the stuff.

I've not experienced any of these issues. I'll look into it. In the mean time, what browser and which version are you all using?

I was working with both OSx and Win7 and on Win7 tried FF, IE, Safari, Chrome and Opera. All the latest version. On OSx it was FF. Safari, Opera and Chrome.

IE 9.0.11
Windows 7 Pro v6.1 SP1

For me, I was composing a post, and after I hit "preview" the preview updated but my original text was gone.
That was in the "Repair" forum a couple of days ago.

Edit looks like it is working here.

Current version of OS X, current versions of both Safari and Chrome.

In my experiments, if I can edit a post, I can do it in either browser. If a post can't be edited, I can't edit it in either browser.

I still can't embed images when making a new post in the "What pens do you have inked?" thread; I haven't tried finishing a post to test whether editing is possible.

I think I've fixed the issue, for now at least. I had to disable a few AJAX features which means a few more page refreshes than we're used to. In my limited testing, though, things seem to be working as they should.

We may need to do a small update from vBulletin 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 and also downgrade our PHP version.

In the mean time, please let me know if you're still experiencing any issues.
