Lets see, I wrote in my Moleskine Star Wars notebook, Rhodia uni-blank and dotPad, and used a Noodler's Ahab, Lamy Studio, Lamy 2000, and a Parker Vac Jr.

I am a lover of Rhodia/Claire Fontaine paper because my inks rarely feather and nice smooth surface is great for writing. I got a dot pad in one of my lost crates ( anyone out there subscribe to lostcrates.com?), and think for some reason it seems different. Good, but thinner perhaps? Thanks for sharing how you spent your day!

I had never heard of lostcrates.com. I went to have a look-see and they seem to be in the middle of a re-launch.

Now I won't sleep tonight wondering what I'm missing!

For $38 a month ( you subscribe) they send you a crate with all sorts of unique items to try. I've done it for about 6 months, it was pretty new and has evolved a lot just in that time. Pens, Moleskine journals, stationery, etc. It appeals to me because its fun to see new things and try them out, but no real risk and you don't have to go searching. I follow them on Twitter and Facebook and they also find super great stuff and post links to the products. Not fancy stuff, some disposable types of fountain pens, but the packaging is neat and its just fun.
