With an image search, I scrolled through several pages of antique silver pencils, but didn't find any close matches.

Are there any maker's stamps or other marks?

Hi non what so ever , the only thing I know , it was my late great granddad he was in the First World War where we believe he was given to him by an American sailor . Whom he became pen pals with .

That gives you an approximate date.

Of course, a Yank sailor might have picked it up in any number of places.
