This is (these are) still one of my favorite pens. It is light, slim, cheap and writes well. The cartridges are easy enough to refill with a syringe and hold a respectable 1 ml of useable ink. This one originally came with the “304” steel nib that wrote very well. I had a warped Sheaffer’s No Nonsense pen that had a steel Sheaffer’s fine italic nib that I thought was interesting. So I transplanted it. Unfortunately I do not know how to properly write with a crisp fine italic nib. While I liked the lines that it put down, I did not like the nib catching on the paper so often on the lateral strokes. That is easy enough to fix, I thought. When I was done, what I had left with could probably best be described as a broad cursive italic. And I love it. I was practicing my German today by transcribing text and thought that it might make an interesting post.
