I can’t figure out what Montegrappa this is, but I am enthused to learn the most prominent industrial designer of our time uses a fountain pen: https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/05/16/apples-former-chief-designer-jony-ive-gives-us-a-rare-look-at-his-everyday-design-tool-kit/?fbclid=IwAR1pTQXJEC4CQzgoTMfF66yoYCwgnkg3vaxVMG80 CDcjRUlyNLtY5_9qPfw

And not even a thousand dollar pen. It must actually be a tool for him.

The original FT article had a link to the pen on the Montegrappa site and the Penaddict podcast (https://www.relay.fm/penaddict/513) had some interesting additional background information from Montegrappa about the pen and Jony Ive's fondness for the brand.

The pen on Montegrappa's website (https://montegrappa.com/configuratore/?id=share&collection=1162&conf=I1EXF1SC%7CI1EXJIS2%7CI1CLDIS2%7CI1EXJFS_MA%7 CI1EXJNMA%7CI2SDPEP3%7CSTILOGRAFICA%7CI1EXJC_MA%7C I0EXFPS0%7CI1SDFJS1&customizations=[%7B%22I1EXF1SC%22:[]%7D]&homeBtnLink=https://www.montegrappa.com).

I wish…according to Catbert’s link, this is a custom model apparently costing more than 4000 euro!

Really? It looks like one of the steel nib wooden versions that they were selling recently for about $300-400.

According to the podcast, it's mammoth ivory.

That explains the price!
