User customisations

Sorry to ask such a dumb question.

What does the tab Show user customisations and Hide user customisations actually mean.

Do you mean customised parts of your profile page? Customise My Profile is a tab on your My Profile page where you can change how things look on your Profile page like text type, size and different colours and parts.
I don't know where Hide user customisations is. It seems strange to have something that hides your customised changes but maybe some people only want to see the Default version?

Got it thanks, if you click show customisations it changes to hide customisations.

I had clicked on another person's profile and seen the offer on customisation, Hide or Show, not sure that I have previously seen this offered.
