Up for sale are three very hard to find Visconti Copernicus fountain pens. The pens were produced in the mid 1990’s by Visconti as limited editions: 999 of each color, as marked on the crescent of each pen. Visconti did a great job of designing a pen with a true vintage look. Each pen is celluloid acetate, with beautiful coloring and transparency. The pens are crescent fill, and the fill system works perfectly. Each one has a well-functioning sac, and holds lots of liquid. I tested each pen just now with water. All in all, the Copernicus is a real looker of a pen, and a great writer. The 18K nibs are very smooth. Each is briefly described below, along with pricing. 1) SOLD Blue Copernicus with 18K, rhodium nib (Medium) and trim. Still has the original Visconti sticker on the barrel, and appears to be mint. Pen No. 330 of 999. Includes original wooden case. REDUCED $475 $525, shipping $15.
2) Red Copernicus with 18K F nib. This is pen No. 720 of 999, and is in excellent plus condition. Includes original box, which has some loosening of the lid insert. There is some minor pitting along the sides of the clip. REDUCED $390 $425, shipping $13.
3) SOLD Green Copernicus with 18K B nib that was professionally customized to a stub. Again, just a beautiful, transparent green celluloid pen in excellent plus condition. No box for this one. This is pen No. 268 of 999. REDUCED $425 $465, shipping $12.
