Will a pencil point protector fit a P20x?

I like the Pentel P20x mechanical pencils but, due to their fixed pipe, refrain from pocket carrying it. Has anyone here tried mounting a basic plastic pencil point protector on one? I'd try, buy I don't have any protectors.
