Last week a pen pal in Germany sent a letter written with Rouge Hematite. I liked it, and bought a bottle.

It's brighter than Noodler's Nikita, which looked a bit dull compared with Diamine Poppy Red, and it's brighter that D Poppy Red.

Not seeing much gold shimmer or green sheen - yet.

Now that's one handsome red, thanks for a succinct review :thumb: James Bond would not like this ink ;)

I have the first edition that doesn't contain shimmer particles but instead has slightly thicker stuff in the bottom of the bottle. When I used it in my Sheaffer Targa it took me so much to clean it out I've never used it since. The Sheaffer has never flowed well since. :(

James Bond might not, but Goldfinger did. There's already a lot of glitter stuff inside, you just have to shake it up.

I'll shake it even more before the next time I refill the pen

Over time, the pigments can also settle in the fountain pen, they are too big to remain in suspension.
