Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Lamy Turquoise

This is review #246 in my series. Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: This is your basic turquoise ink. Cleaning was quick and easy. For the most accurate color representation, just look at whatever of the basic turquoise comparison inks you have: Pelikan, Waterman, Sheaffer, etc. :D

Zoomed in photo (Color is pretty close.)

Screenshot (Color seems too green.)

Scan of Completed Review (Color isn't saturated enough.)

Absorbent Paper Close-up (top is puzzle paper like thick newsprint, bottom is old 20lb copy paper) (Color is fairly close.)

Line width (One of the lines used for dry time. Magnification is 100x. The grid is 100x100µm. The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each. The line width for this ink is roughly 295µm. With 246 inks measured, the average line width is 296µm.)

Great review for a meh ink :fans: Thankfully there was our adventures trio that made viewing this ink bearable. I love it when all three are present :D
Thank you for making Tuesdays so fun🙏

:) Thanks! (Yeah, it's turquoise, it's cheap, but not really exciting.)

I have this ink and really like it. It does best in a broader nib, but as we can see, it's perfectly legible in an EF.

Truth? You can't handle the truth! 😹

Thanks once again for your reviews and story, Liz, even when I forget what day it is. 🥺

I've been dreadful at saying thank you for these recently LizEF - blame very poor health and atrocious attention span.

I have been reading them though, and I'm so enjoying the story at the moment, and please accept very belated, but nonetheless heartfelt thank yous for the last few instalments.

I'm with the meh's on the ink, I'm afraid. There are so many turquoises out there, and this one comes pretty low on the list, other than rather liking the bottle design.

No worries. Sorry to hear about the health issues. Hope you're on the mend!

Yeah. It's a color I don't have strong feelings for. I enjoy Waterman Inspired Blue every now and then, but it's not like it's blue-black or murky green - those are colors worth strong emotions! :D
