I thought I would share my first ebonite pen. It was purchased from Hari on FPN who had these modified by Indian pen maker, Kim & Co. The first impression I had was that it is HUGE!!! The ebonite is very dark swirls of dark grey and black that the camera has a hard time picking up. The nib is a fine point with good flow and fairly wet. I was thinking that the size of the pen would make it hold quite a bit of ink but it only holds about 1.5 ml's. Not bad though since the fine point nib really makes the ink last. I went two weeks on a fill using it every day for work. Writing with it took some adjusting because of the girth of the barrel. Here are the pictures along with a TWSBI Diamond 530 for a size anchor.

That's a huge pen! My own size limit is a TWSBI -- that's as big as I can comfortably manage. What's the balance like?

It is pretty well balanced and pretty light for its size. The adjustment for me was because of the girth. I figure if I ever develop arthritus, (which is very probable since it runs in the family) I'll still have a pen i can use.

I just realized the nib is almost the same size as the TWSBI section.

Thanks, It seems like it would be unwieldly to use but it's not once you get used to it. :D
