I'm thinking of acquiring a modern Aurora so I can experience the nib. I quite enjoy both Platinum's and Sailor's feedback. I understand that Auroras also have a distinctive feedback.

I prefer cartridge-converter fill so the 88 Small has my interest, However it appears to be really small. 118 mm unposted. I much prefer the length of the Sailor 1911L (124mm) or a Waterman Phileas (126mm). I am concerned that the 88 small would be unsatisfactory due to its length.

Comments or advice would be appreciated.

Look at a Talentum then. It also comes in two sizes.

It's small by modern standards but not by the standards of yesteryear. Capped or posted, it's about the same length as a Parker 45, for instance.

Depending on your hand size, it might be too short to write with unposted, which is why I always post mine when I use it.

If you're interested in an older style, both the Aurora International and Hastil are C/C.

The big looks, well BIG. Unposted length of 132-133 makes it the size of a TWBI Eco.
I haven't found spec for unposted length of the standard, however, I'm concerned that it will be too small.
