Good evening folks, I have to replace the plastic seal on a 100 pen. The cork has already been replaced by someone before me so I can't use o-rings. Where could I source the seal? The ones sold by Nishimura are for 100N upwards as they are bigger. He sells o-rings for the 100 but my seal rod is different, trhe present seal slips on it like on the 100N. Ideas? Thank you

Could you post a picture of the seal rod?

Replace the piston rod with one that can accept a cork seal (and land with a pen that is historically more authentic)?

Good morning folks, here the photos of the seal

From 1942 Pelikan replaced cork seals with plastic ones. The seal is inserted on the terminal part of the piston, the internal part of the seal slips on the groove, and this makes the whole assembly ink tight. I could insert an o-ring on the grove of the seal as an alternative. I found a spare parts supplier but he only sells seals that can be used to replace the cork ones for the 100.

Does this seal (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131584635036?hash=item1ea30e309c:g:WqwAAOSwridaC21 V&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8JCE0XLsymPzFiCEbHNQ0FmAkx7DR dj%2FZO0uOY4Gb3eLMvltQ%2FoMNMH95KCp6%2FtBRbuDPPZc6 KvrSuzT%2Fr4K5txz50gIyfXCYiSU34JTnDjkpgMquW%2BoMrt fTHK%2B86ooEMWhk0ncR22Od1xPUh6FZhFckJ4i4FiUPNKFgyX 31B%2BvQWi76oQNNfuXfEIU2cOA2rSwyVexoBYv8MT3px7p8Nx YBc2tHE4m7dovowPdJZsF7LE8NqHk%2FA%2Fi%2FAfqdfcFori RCFSEoJvnj3RHo%2F71dlzvNtnotcl3z3R1PS4cQMaNxRnTRaT 3QaDJQrDzsUC25g%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9j_oqHuYg) look like it might fit your 100? I just did the basic web search and I assume you have done too, but just in case. It is described as "plastic snap-on" and for the type that originally had the plastic seal. I have seen some use tricks like wrapping the seal in teflon tread tape (the type used for water pipes); I have not tried it my self. According to this page (https://www.penboard.de/penpoint/en/fillingsystems/PelikanPenRepairs.htm), replacement parts for the 120 and 140 can be used for the 100N with the rubber seal.

@arrow, thank you for your links. the set with various colours fit the 100N and the 120 and 400. I used one for my 100N. The barrel of the 100 is smaller than higher numbered versions, so either I reduce the diameter of one of the coloured ones or I look for a spare piston rod using cork of a 100 and use o-rings to replace the cork. There is no ready available seal for a 100
Mine came with a plastic rod in 1942/43
I've sent it to Scotland for the repair.

UPDATE: sent the pen to Eric Wilson to get repaired here in UK. He did a wonderful job and hasn't used o-rings to fix it. It is now back in my hands and writes beautifully. Thank you Eric!!!
