Up for sale today is a very nice Sterling Silver Sheaffer Targa 1006 with a fine nib. It's clearly been used, but has no notable damage, scratches or wear. Comes complete with a piston convertor. It is this model (https://www.sheaffertarga.com/Ref List/1006 Sterling silver, Chequered pattern, CP trim Classic.html). There is no box or papers with this pen.

I'm asking $135 plus shipping (usually around $20 Canadian) for this great historical pen!

Thanks for looking, and as always please get in touch with questions or comments.

Is this pen solid Sterling Silver or silver plated?
Any idea of the weight?
Thank you...

Just for my own curiosity I weighed it. A "standard" Targa I have was 26g, the SS one was 32g.

I was under the impression that solid sterling silver stated "solid" and had a 92.5(%) mark after it.
That's why I asked.

It usually does, but they couldn't mark it sterling if it was only silver plated VS solid silver.

It's nice to be around people who know more than I do.
Thanks for the clarification Ron

I also looked at the Sheaffer Targa site. It also says he pens are sterling silver. Nice pens.

Definitely sterling silver! So, would anybody like to adopt it?
