Master Penman Michael Sull assigns homework for our American Cursive Writing Class (https://www.thegentlepenman.com/american-cursive). After reviewing one of my cross drill exercises, he suggested that I write with an Extra Fine or Fine nib, and exert less pressure while writing.

Everyday writing with the 146 flex gives an Extra Fine to Fine line width when it's not flexed. This current assignment is daily journaling on the practice sheets. Since I mentioned drawing our Moon and a man made satellite, I included that with my submission. Diamine Sargasso Sea ink.

Drawing: Hobonichi Techo Cousin A5 notebook. The 146 flex gets along well with the Tomoe River paper in that notebook.

What are cross drill exercises? See the bottom image: Montblanc 146 flex with too much pressure, Diamine Sargasso Sea ink; Montblanc Jules Verne M nib inked with Noodler's Eel Cactus Fruit.
