It's not very often that you see a post about something cool in the Montblanc section that doesn't cost $1000 or more. I took a chance on buying this book through ebay and I was more than happy with the purchase.

The book is on the smaller side at 8"x8", but it is very well made. Thick covers and pages, high quality photos, and it's a total of 152 pages long.

The best part about it was the value: I originally paid $27 shipped for it. However, the seller sent me a message shortly after to tell me there was a scratch on the back cover. Long story short, he knocked off $5, sent me two copies and threw in a Montblanc polishing cloth. Now that I've seen it in person, I would have happily paid $25-30 for a used copy. Much less the $11 I ended up paying for each book. I would have bought 10 more to give as presents if he had any left, but these were the last two.

Here are a few pictures to share with all of you. Sorry that some are a little blurry. I'd be happy to take more if anyone would be interested.

I may give it to my uncle (who is also a collector) as a small Christmas gift. If for some reason I change my mind, I'll probably "pay it forward" to someone on here.

Nice book! New here to FPgeeks so hallo to all. I believe these books were given for free in montblanc boutiques as I got one from the Hong Kong boutique a couple years ago. I agree that it is a great book!

Out of curiosity, do you have to pay for it or is it given away?
(I suspect the former...)

I got mine free from a pen shop in Nottingham (not sure if I'm able to name shop)

I became a bit curious about this and decided to look it up.

While you are correct that it is usually spelled "collectables" when used as an adjective and "collectibles" when used as a noun, apparently, they two have become synonymous with each other.

At one time, "collectables" was used to describe payments due.

It seems similar to "Grey" vs "Gray" and the pronounciation of "The" (either thee or thuh). While there is an official way to use each spelling/pronounciation, it has become common enough that both are correct in colloquial English.

Short reponse: You're officially correct, but either spelling seems to be widely accepted in the 21st century.

The preferred version is indeed spelled "collectible," if used as a noun; while the form "collectable" is preferred when used as a modifier, i.e. an adjective!

This looks to be a very good solution to those wanting to have a reference guide to most limited versions.
Ordered one, easy to use and will make for a good collecting guideline. :)

Noooo! They're not both correct! In England, grEy is usually considered correct. Apparently it's both in America, with grAy being more common. And I'm English, so it's grEy ;) But, if you really want to say gray, be my guest! Just don't say burglarized, because that's just plain wrong.

Hey there, I realised that you have got both montblanc 144 and 145. I also have a 145, and I am considering to exchange the nib. I found a 144 nib including grip section on sale on eBay, I am wondering if that will fit my 145 please? It will be so nice if you can try that and tell me the answer. Thanks a lot

It isn't in The Queen's English.
