I decided I wanted to do an ebony pen. The threaded sections are alumilite. I finished it with lacquer and steel wool. I made a ebony pillow for it so it would t roll away. I placed a bock nib in medium on it and inked it with Tanzanite Private Reserve ink to see how well it wrote. Comments and critiques are welcome and thanks for looking.

I like it, in particular its non-brand-new look. It looks like a very well cared for pen that has a history to tell.

Somehow, I feel this pen could use a subtle adornment, like the artist's or the owner's initial at the distal end of the barrel or near the top of the cap. Maybe it's because the pen reminds me a little of Nakaya.

Very nice indeed, the shape of the section in particular appeals to me.

Thanks for the comments and the comparison. I am looking to add a makers mark on my pens. I guess I need to start exploring my options on how to do one that best suits my pens.

Anyone have a recommendation for such as that?

Phil
