I found that the color of this ink can range from blue to almost black. It all depends on how much ink is put down by the pen.
- A dry pen will look blue.
- A very WET pen will look dark blue/black.

I found that the ink does not look well out of a XF nib. The ink line is so narrow that the ink looks washed out against the paper. And it is even worse when writing on lined paper, where the lines compete for your eyes attention. I changed my XF pens from blue to black ink.
