For sale is a 1960s Osmia/Faber-Castell 5564 fountain pen. Osmia is one of the most respected German makers. By the 1960s, however, they had been absorbed by Faber-Castell, which managed to retain their quality, at least for a time. This pen is a top of the line model with a piston filler and crystal clear ink window.
It’s in excellent condition with all the gold foil still left in the cap and barrel imprints. The plating is still intact on the cap band and clip and there is very minor surface scratches, but the pen is free of dints or dings.
The nice, semi-flexible 14 karat gold Broad nib lays down a 0.65mm stroke under normal pressure, but can easily spread to 1.25mm when flexed. If you want more line variation, I can grind the nib down to a Fine or Extra Fine at no additional cost. $110
