For those who didn't know:

Japan now (= since last year) has an official Lamy Store in Osaka (it's managed the import firm for Lamy products DKSH Japan).
That alone might not be very news-worthy, but they have a Japan only Lamy Safari pen case with a nice and quite unique design (designed in Japan by LED [Live Entertainment Design]):

- It holds up to four Safaris. One can be without without opening the case.
- Black bridle-/saddleleather on the outside, yellow-brown cow hide on the inside.
- It is not cheap with ~$235.

On one page they advertise it as a product for the 30th anniversary of the Lamy Safari, on another page to celebrate the 150 years of Japanese-German friendship in 2011).

Let's hope for more Lamy designs from Japan

Let's hope for something reasonable in cost, first. I'd sooner have a Hello Kitty Pen Box than fork over that much dough for a pen case.

I agree that the price way too high. And while I like the nifty design: Why not elastic loops for the pens or something else to hold the three additional pens?

Happy daze! How many Safaris will $235 buy??

I'll admit that it looks very cool, but the price is insane. All four pens don't add up to half the price of the case. Huh?
