Hi all,

If you see one or more pens that you like, please reply to me at:

michael@northwestpenworks.com

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

4. Pelikan 100N black and tortoise. The clip has some brassing on the
tip and one edge where it curves towards the cap ring. The cap rings
also have some brassing, mostly on the upper ring. The binde is an odd
color and may have some discoloration or it has a bit different
coloration, but it is still very attractive. The nib is a very scarce
CN (chromium nickel alloy) Scheibenspitze Broad or SB. Scheibenspitze
means disk top. It is angled and flat on the end. I didn't get a good shot
that shows the flat writing surface of the tip. It writes very smoothly and
lays down a lot of ink. I believe the CN nibs were only made during
World War II. The plunger seal in the pen was recently replaced by
Ink-Pen West.

Price reduced to $535.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S.
Foreign shipping see "Rules, Shipping, Etc."

5. ~SOLD~ 1942 - '44 Pelikan 100 in green and black. This is a very nice
example of one of these wartime 100's. These did not have cap bands,
instead, where the cap bands would have been, they are imprinted with
two knurled rings. These are fairly hard to find with this particular cap.
The cap is imprinted with the name Vasylyna Otroba and highlighted in
green. The imprints and cap end logo are nice and deep. The clip
appears to be chrome plated and was originally coated with yellow
lacquer, a bit of the lacquer remains. The CN (chromium nickel) alloy
nib is a Fine and you can achieve some line variation when moderate
pressure is applied. It is a smooth writing nib. The green pearl binde is
a slightly darker blue-green color than some Pelikan 100's and 100N's
I have seen. The plunger seal was recently replaced by Ink-Pen West.

~SOLD~ $365.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S.
Foreign shipping see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

6. 1934? '44? Parker Raven in black permanite. When I was
doing the writing sample I was thinking this was one of the 1929 pens,
but I remembered that when I was polishing the pen I noticed a number
imprinted on the right end of the barrel imprint, a number 4, which is
either 1934 or '44 and I think the latter. It has a comb feed, too. I
know that they made some streamline pens in both '34 and 1944. I have
seen Duofold Seniors and Jr.'s that were made around that time. This
is the long bandless version. Capped it measures 4 15/16 inches or
12.5 cm. Before I started work on the pen, it appeared that it had not
been used very much. The clip has no brassing and the barrel imprint
is pretty nice. The nib is a smooth Semi-Flexible Fine 14K. I got some
line variation with it, but it takes some pressure to achieve a wider
line. I have always liked the bandless version of the Parker Raven, we
are so used to seeing old pens with bands on the caps that the
appearance of the bandless Raven is quite striking. These are slender
pens, about the diameter of a Lady Duofold, but a lot longer. This is
a button filling pen.

Price $150.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
