I love this color with a wet EF nib, where it makes a rich, dark purple line for me. Today I am using it in fine point pen with neutral flow (neither "wet" nor "dry") and it simply looks purple. It is still a little darker than a true purple and has reasonable shading though. For reference, with the wet EF it looks very similar to the center of your ink blob, and in today's fine it looks like your Yiren "2".

Thanks for the excellent review heath.
I'm not really a purple person these days, but I might just consider trying the out the Grape.
