I supported Mirth & Co Notebooks on Kickstarter last year and am pleasantly surprised by how well this paper gets along with fountain pens. The notebooks have letter press covers and are hand-sewn; they look great. They were made in a few different sizes for Kickstarter, but I’m most excited about the 3.5” x 5.5” (a la Field Notes, etc). Finally, a pocket notebook that can handle a fountain pen!

Looks like they're planning to open their online store in the spring. Not much on the Mirth & Co website. Lots of info on the Kickstarter page. They’re on Twitter and FB, but I’m not. If there’s any big news there, let me know!

I used the No. 6 Notebook with the buckram cover for this review.

The paper is a lovely light brown. I like it, but it will certainly be too dark for some people.
Here it is next to cream Tomoe River, next to bright white HP laserjet paper.

The paper is smooth and there's very little feathering.

And here is the back of the page. Hardly any show-through, zero bleed-through.
