Hi all,

Here are six pens and a pencil fresh from my workbench. All of the
pens on this list are scarce for various reasons.

If you see one or more pens that you like, please reply to me at:

michael@northwestpenworks.com

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

Pen #1. 1930's Parker Vacumatic standard size in Teal Blue with silver
colored trim. Rare? This is one of the rarest pen and pencil sets I
have ever owned. The teal blue Vacumatics are known, but very few have
turned up, from my understanding. The pen an pencil are in very nice
condition, with a few micro scratches. The trim has a little bit of
wear and slight pitting on the clip rings. The rest of the trim looks
near perfect to me. The pens look like they were probably made between
about 1933 and '35. Neither the pen or pencil has a date code. The
jewels on the pen and pencil are a matching striped teal blue color.
The pen has had the diaphragm replaced. The pencil is working as it
should. I cannot really speculate about this very odd color in
Vacumatics, but I'm sure there are Parker experts out there who may
have some guesses about them. The nib is a smooth writing Extra Fine
14K arrow. Capped the pen measures 5 inches or 12.8 cm. Overall the
set is in Excellent condition.

Price $1450.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

2. Early 1940's Waterman's Doctor's pen in white with gold filled
trim. This is the version with thin-thick-thin barrel bands and no cap
band. I think they were made somewhere between 1940 and '43. The nib
is a smooth writing Flexible Fine and you can make lines from fine to
about 2 mm width with moderate pressure. The nib is large and and
marked Waterman's Emblem Pen. I could not find any brassing or damage
of any kind and the pen appears to be in near mint condition. Capped
the pen measures 5 1/8 inches or 13.1 cm.

Price $750.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

3. c. 1925 Waterman's No. 55 in black chased hard rubber, with nickel
trim. The pen is mint/dipped or possibly filled and tested, with the
original paper price band on the barrel. This is a pen from a larger
group of mint condition Waterman's and Wahls, that I bought several
years ago. They had come from an old store that had closed, possibly a
drug store on Belmont St., that I know carried Waterman's when this
one was new. I have a 1925 Waterman's ink blotter from the drug store
and the pens were purchased a few blocks from that store. The pen has
the original intact ossified ink sac inside the barrel. The lever and
lever box appear to have some minor pitting. The clip and cap band are
in nice condition. The number imprint, on the barrel end, still has
the original red crayon in it. Capped the pen measures 5 1/2 inches or
14 cm.

Price $550.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.
