reprieve

After reading about Amalfi paper on Miss Elderberry's blog (http://thesebeautifulpens.blogspot.de/2012/11/the-review-i-just-couldnt-put-up-any.html), I kept my eyes peeled for online shops that carried it. I've considered one of those extraordinarily lovely (but extraordinarily expensive) leather journals with Amalfi paper from Jenni Bick (http://www.jennibick.com/fiorentina-francescano-leather-wrap-journal.html), but I wanted to try the paper before committing to something so pricey. I never came across Amalfi stationery or notecards until I found europeanpaper.com.
I stumbled across The European Paper Company (http://europeanpaper.com) a few days ago when I was searching for sketchbooks. I noticed that they carried Amalfi paper (http://europeanpaper.com/stationery/?brand=Amalfi%20Paper). I had never heard of the website, but they have such a wide variety of products from brands that other U.S. retailers don't often carry and so I decided to take a chance with them. I ordered the Amalfi watermarked stationery sheets and some notecards along with a sketchbook. I picked the free shipping option during checkout (which appears to be a temporary promotion but did not require a special code). I did not have to create an account. I just placed my order and received regular e-mail updates. I like that simplicity--there are no extra account nicknames or passwords to try to remember or worry about. My order shipped out the same day via Fed-Ex and arrived two days later. Everything was wrapped prettily and carefully packaged and very well-protected in the box.
I'm really impressed with their service and will be ordering from them again in the future. Highly recommended.
