Stipula has decided to honor the memory of Giovanni da Verrazzano (discoverer of New York and Harbor), whose northern voyage marked the beginning of a centuries-old affiliation between Florence and New York, with a fountain pen in ultramarine blue celluloid that reflects the color of the ocean plied by Giovanni da Verrazzano's caravel. The metal details, like the clip with its steel spring, are all in bright finish: the cap top is set with a glowing crystal, symbol of the Polar Star, one of the most ancient instruments for sailing.
The fountain pen is equipped with a special "pin" filling system featuring a piston mechanism that retracts into the barrel and a two-tone 18K Medium (M) gold nib with rhodium tip.
