Howdy howdy, I'm selling off some INCREDIBLE FLEX pens today, and this one is a BEAUTY. The Mrs. wants a pair of boobs. Yes, you read that correctly.

A beautiful example of a Wahl Eversharp from around 1920's, lever filler. Gold-filled with a gorgeous chevron pattern. The lever filler and pocket clip are in great shape. The pen has micro scratches from a century of use, but is in surprisingly great condition nevertheless, and has not been abused.

Nib

This #2 nib is very flexible, but capable of normal writing with a light hand. Pen writes very smoothly for me as a right-handed writer.

Pen Condition

She flexes incredibly, and is one of my favorite writers. With light to no pressure, this pen is easily capable of regular handwriting, as you can see in the writing sample. With slight to heavy pressure you can control the flex very well. A delight to write with!

This pen was fitted with a new ink sac 6 months ago, but since then I have fitted it with a new fill-lever (which was a challenge to source an exact match, I can tell you!), as the old one was not functioning optimally. I have noticed since then that I have on a couple of occasions had an ink droplet fall from the nib while writing. This could be an indication that the new ink sac has may have a puncture, possibly from when I changed the lever. Changing the sac would remedy this. I just want to be upfront and let the buyer know, but many of you who collect vintage pens will be familiar with changing sacs or have a favorite pen doctor you can use for a simple sac replacement.

Pen Finish

This pen has one noticeable spot where the gold filled plating has a blemish - it could be tarnish, but when I tried to buff it out, it didn't come out. It's shown in the next photo below, and is located in the middle of the pen (when the lid is capped), at the base of the lid. I have tried to show any areas where the pen shows a blemish other than micro scratches, but keep in mind that despite my macro images to show you this pen up close, this pen is a great example of this era and you won't be disappointed.

Pen comes highly recommended by Master Chief himself. It would make a great addition to any collection, or would be a great pen for your first vintage flex pen!

Hello just wondering if you posted this to whet my appetite or what? There's no info available! :( Should I just buy it sight unseen? :jaw:

Yes, I apologize for that. I had a lovely sale post written and it has somehow evaporated itself. I've emailed the admins but not heard back. I will try reposting - so watch for a new sale post. This one will not let me edit. It's very strange.

I am guessing it was the "boobs" comment... I laughed myself silly... :D

I must admit - when she asked, I tried to hold back a smile... If a few pens must go, it's a sacrifice that I'm happy to make. Ha.

What happened was your initial post was put into moderation, then you created a duplicate. While trying to approve one and delete the other, something got mixed up and the first post was still held in moderation. It should now be visible to all.

Forgive my prurience: will the proceeds from this sale be applied to finance the left or right (side)?
