I've been a passive reader for quite a while but now I have something I'd really like to share. Recently a thread in the "Classifieds" section (http://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread.php/5441-Rotring-600-Fountain-Pen-BUNCH-Lava-Silver-Gold-Nib-Silver-Nib) popped up. Short version: a fellow member Kukuzovak (http://fpgeeks.com/forum/member.php/3281-Kukuzovac) proposed to buy a Rotring 600 from a local shop with some old stock he happened to discover. Yes, you heard right, just out of his good will he proposed to spend own free time, go buy the pen and ship it to anyone who would be interested. I don't know about you people but I personally find it quite spectacular really.

Today I received a package with a brand new Rotring 600 18k EF-nib and the first thing I'm going to do right now after inking the pen up with J. Herbin Blue Nuit is to write this post and say thank you, Kukuzovak, you're a truly amazing person and FP community is likely the only place in the world where such people still exist! The package came with such a nice letter written with another Rotring 600, I'm so deeply touched...

A pen is just a thing, a tool – people are what's truly amazing. Now I have a pen with a great story which is priceless.

So nice to see a public "Thank You" kind of post. You're someone I'm sure we'd all like see more posts from.
I really like the Herbin Blue Nuit ink. Does it behave well?
Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your story - and I'm not even surprised. Fountain pen people are special.

Welcome aboard!

Hello Coffeesnake,

Thank you for telling us of your good experience - indeed, as Ether says above, it is hard to find better people than pen people. So...

Welcome to the Fountain Pen Geeks forums! Smaller than the largest pen fora, larger than some, you'll find a comfortable community of pen-centric people here, with a growing body of posts, reviews, and group knowledge. Mostly, you'll find people who are enthusiastic about fountain pens, and fountain pen people.
