I must say I like the feel of the Al-Star over the Safari and the vibrant blue is just amazing. Delivery from FPGeeks headquarters showed up yesterday. :):crazy_pilot:

Thank you. I do need to retake a couple of them. They look a little out of focus to me. I also forgot to take a picture of the cool FPGeeks magnet Eric sent with it.

Great pics. The last two look a little bright. The pen's colour does change acccording to light a fair bit.
Now you need to load it up with a nice intense blue ink (Noodler's Blue plain or Eel is recommended.)

I see you've got the other Lamy converter with black end. All mine are the red-ended Z24s.

Same colour as mine :)

I like Diamine Majestic Blue in my Al-Star, with the 1.1mm nib.

The color was affected by the contrast that the camera did to make up for the black background.

I am still decideing what blue to use but Noodler's Blue is likely.

Noodler's blue or Noodler's Bernanke Blue would be my vote ;)

that pen is dope. I like my AL a bit better than my Safaris (the charcoal safari is awesome though.) The seethru section is helpful.

The Silver-blue or Lilac as we call it around the house would have to be the hardest Al-Star to photograph. It can appear anything between lilac and silver depending on the light conditions.

The Charcoal Safari sometimes looks almost metallic at some angles too.
