I like little birds. The old 400/400NN size are perfect, the modern M200/M400 fit too. Have quite a few 200s (aiming at all the 200 demos someday), and one lone M400 (the white tortoise because I'm slowly, slowly working toward a semi complete tortoise collection, it is sorta done cause I have all the affordable/findable ones. :pound:). I like the M400s but the modern ones are insanely expensive to me. Especially compared to the M200s. I have an 80s M400 green. And I've wanted a blue M400, but just can't justify the cost.

Until I stumbled on a German ebay auction for a blue M400 with a lovely gold B nib... And got it for less than a new M200! $100 for this beauty might not be a Sumgai, but I'm really happy! Such a pretty pen. :) I suppose I'll have to get a red one now, huh? Just for completeness. ;)

(Sorry for the crappy pictures)

Great buy! I wish I could find a M405 in blue at that price to match my R405...

I hear ya. I prefer silver trim to gold so would love to have these pens in the X05 version, but this'll do. ;)

Congratulations. The 400's are wonderful little pens. My M400 is a regular writer. I don't have a 400 yet, but I do like my 140.

The old 400/400NN size are perfect, the modern M200/M400 fit too.

Quick question: are the M200 demos pretty close in size to the old 400NN? I've got 2 400NN and that is a very good size for me, and I just haven't had a hands-on with an M200. I suppose I should fix this at the LA show in a couple weeks.

That's the M200 Demo next to a 400NN and a 400. The NN is just a tiny but longer becomes of the long pointy piston filler. But really they are the same size pen.
