It came from Singapore with a cursive Italic grind but I think it is more stubbish. I have already modified it more to my liking but I think I am going to work on it some more to get some more line variation out of it. It came with one cartridge that I plan to refill but I also have a Parker converter that I can use with it. I know it is a rather common pen in the UK but this is the first time I have seen one, let alone owned one.

Hurrah! I have one of these (I think they're discontinued in the UK) that I picked up in a sale at a local stationers for £6.

Mine writes a medium, but wet line, and is as reliable as the Rotring Esprit - either pen can be left for weeks & start up straight away. I alternate between Quink black, and Perle Noire in mine (it's mostly a work pen, so it doesn't get "fun" inks, poor thing). I also like the option of having the matching mechanical pencil & ballpoint (the latter with a Parker Gel refill) as a nice "do anything" set.

IME, the all steel Jotters are nicer in feel than the plastic & steel jotter, although I see a lot of the latter (in ballpoint) knocking about over here.

I had an all steel ballpoint Jotter that I gave to my father-in-law so I can appreciate the all steel construction. I admit it was a little bit of a bummer when I saw the plastic section. I can get it to flex slightly but it fights you back. Good to hear about the startup. That is one thing about my lowly Vector, it always started up.

Ah the simple elegance and precision of stainless steel. It is a rather stylish pen and could easily be mistaken for a rollerball before uncapping.

How many Parkers are you up to now ?

Hmmm, good question. Let's see:

2x Parker 21 (red and green)
1x Vector
1x Dufold Jr.
1x Slimfold
1x Jotter

so, it looks like 6.

No. But you have one. :p I think I need to get rid of the 21's and the Vector but don't know if anyone would buy them. Maybe a lot sale would be better, or even eBay.
