I have sort of been looking high and low for any sort of information on my impulse buy I made. I'm not finding much at all. At Target, for what I am gathering, a limited time they have a fountain pen in a blister pack. It was only $5, so I purchased it. Its definitely interesting and pretty nice-ish. It has some serious start up issues but after you get it going its actually pretty nice.

Has anyone else seen this?

Picture please? I often scan the offerings when I dash throughTarget, but never see much in the way of fountain pens...

Was it a Zebra fountain pen? If so I have seen them but only on this forum. I have the rollerball version but I have yet to see the fountain pen in Target or any other store.

My Target regularly carries Pilot fountain pens, the squid pens. Sorry I forgot the official name. Just fine nibs though, so I have not purchased one yet.

Photos as requested. It looks like they are only here for school starting and all. I found it in the display with all of the "Back to School" stuff. I was rather shocked and went...:jaw: Then, Its only $5!!! Now I must try it! I did. Its an alright pen. Its a nice knock around to take when I'm not sure if I am going to be clumsy and lose it for $5.

Please forgive my not so great pen photos. Its a new little world for me. I promise to get better. I'm tempted to get another one to see if the nib is really -really- that bad. Or if I got a fluke. Since I did notice that the nib was poking out of the blister pack. And I'm a bit jealous that the Plumix is available in Targets near you Vert. I do love them.

Nice find, and first of all--the name of the pen is "Wonderland" ! That's pretty fab. Now I have to go see what's available at my local Target, squids, plumixes, or Wonderlands. About a foot of snow is falling right now, though, plus sleet expected tomorrow. :smow: Might be enough to slow down even a fountain pen run. (Temporarily. )

I know right?! That's what grabbed my attention. The whimsical design is just awesome. Though they have one in just a solid black. It seems we are having the same sort of weather. It just stopped snowing here. I do hope not to wake up to any more.

Good luck on the fountain pen run!

I bought one of these. It's a pretty good cheapie fountain pen. Mine's a basic black model. I think Paperchase is a British company. They have notebooks, pen cases, little fabric foldup totes you can drop in your purse to use as shopping bags and carryalls--that sort of thing.

Paperchase is a UK chain of stationery shops. I'll have to look for these next time I go in to town!

Haha!! Well I saw the black one too. And the UK store seems to have a clear one of it too. Eye dropper conversion maybe? I like mine until the last 1/3 of the cartridge. Then it gets to be a little dry.

I'm going to see if I can find some when I go to town on Tuesday, and see if they are as cheap as they are in the US! If they have them, do you want me to pick one up for you?

Shipping a small parcel seems to be not much more than a letter from here. Is it just the clear one you're interested in or any colour?

Mostly clear. I have two black and a purple. If they have other colors I wouldn't be opposed to them either (besides pink...)

The only reason it is a shock is because I'm actually extremely girlie. I just prefer red black and jewel tones.

Am anti-pink as well. It is a conspiracy.

I finally made it in to town today and found them at the back of the shop, in clear and translucent purple, for £6 (about $10)

A few had the nibs poking through the plastic packaging but not all of them. Unfortunately this one has a crack on the end (photo 3) but it writes pretty smoothly.

I do like the idea of turning it in to an eyedropper. I think I have some o-rings upstairs from some ear tunnels I don't wear any more, so if they're the right size I may give it a go tomorrow! (though with that crack, I might test it with some water first!)
