I have not had a chance to ink it and I am actually trying to decide if I should go with my standard test ink (Waterman Florida Blue) for the initial inking or try something else. Maybe I will just use the cartridge. :jester:

My initial impressions are "Wow! This is a beautifull, classic looking pen!" A little heavier than I thought it would be but really, it's not a heavy pen. It oozes quality. The Con-70 converter is interesting and I can't stop pushing the button. :crazy_pilot: I have never seen one like it in person. The seller included a nice note and a couple of green tea bags. I thought that was a nice gesture.

The photo presentation is an unboxing too.

whoa. cool pen, awesome note.

Thanks.

Odd thing this morning. I received an Flickr message from Russia. My first thought was spam but my teabag picture was in it. This lady wants the teatags to add to her collection of 14000 teatag labels. She has never seen those tea bags before and was wondering if I would mail them to her once I use the tea.

Wow, never knew there was a teatag collection movement. Then again, lots of people don't know about fountain pen collecting. :jaw:

KI, once again a nice pen. Very classy in the traditional FP way. You would just expect it to write smoothly too. Looking forward to your experiences when using it.

I wonder how the Russian lady came across your teabag pictures ...by accident, referral or search engine !
There must be an enormous potential in teabag & teabag tag collecting and a relatively cheap one too as most could be sent in an ordinary envelope.

Great pen !! I have one exactly the same, if you follow in my footsteps you will be hankering and buying one with a Music nib and then one with the Falcon flex nib...

I would be interested to hear and see how your writes mine was a bit particular with ink in the beginning. Still likes a more free flowing ink. Works perfectly with all iroshizuku inks.

The seller is pisuke2005.

I inked it up finally and went with my old stand in Waterman Florida Blue. I figured, why break tradition? It is an ink I am familiar with and should help me better evaluate the pen. My first writing with it was my micarta giveaway entry. I forgot to take a picture of it so I'll be getting another writing sample up. Some nice line variation but not extreme as is to be expected from a stub. Smooth also.
