I've been trying out some Strathmore "Skills" (Series 200) Sketch paper in prep for a 4-week online workshop (free!) I'm teaching in March.
This paper is "intended" for dry media, but seems to handle everything from graphite to pen & ink (waterproof Micron in the imagery and J. Herbin Prevanche through both a vintage Eversharp flex and TWSBI Mini for the calligraphy) to light applications of watercolor with zero feathering and zero bleed through. But it's just translucent enough to allow the use of a line guide (for those of us who find writing in a straight line a challenge.) :)
Anyway, the 5.5"x8.5" sketchbook is the perfect size for use as a field journal. So, I thought I'd give it a "test drive." What do you think?
