Participating in InCoWriMo has made me realize that I need more paper and evelopes. Everything I have I got from Goulet, which is fantactic, but I would like to expand my horizon and try some different stuff. I really like the A5 size on a gummed tablet. Any suggestions on other places to shop online?
Thanks

I mostly buy from Goulet Pens, JetPens, and isellpens. Most of what I have bought, though, is Clairfontaine.

Since you're in the Seattle area, you can find some good paper at the University Bookstore in the U-District. They carry Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Leuchttrum, G. Lalo, New Leaf, White Lines, Apica, and a few other varieties.

I am an avid user of Tomoe River paper, and get mine from http://paperforfountainpens.com as well.

Try www.nanamipaper.com for some nice Japanese papers, plus Tomoe River and great service. Also agree about Clairefontaine Triomphe - nice smooth middle-of-the-road paper.

You can also go to the bookstore at Uwaijimaya. When I lived in Seattle I would go there and touch all the Japanese paper and try to resist buying notebooks. You can also go to U Village. They have two paper stores there. The one on the south side of the shopping center is my favorite and has a nice selection of paper, envelopes, notecards, and other paper related items. I miss that place....

I recommend going straight to a print shop and asking for recommendations.

Living in Seattle should give you some great, undiscovered options. That place has a lot of surprises, it seems.

I use the Goulets a lot.

I also use the Circa/Arc system for a lot of things, so my paper for these come from Levenger and Staples, respectively, though I can punch all my own from laser/ink jet paper, too. I did buy five pads of Freeleaf paper ruled paper from Levenger recently when it was on sale, works fine.

I use correspondence cards for most notes in the mail, and some folded notes. The place I was getting them from closed its site so the owner could pursue other interests in the public light, but I did stock up. I think she had the best prices, but other online stationers sell the same products, and they have mostly been fountain pen friendly, that I can see. American Stationery (http://www.americanstationery.com) is one of them. I had better prices at the other place, but I stocked up and will not be in need for correspondence cards or folded notes for some time to come. The place I was getting them from, Classic Communication, seemed to pick out the ones that favored fountain pens and didn't carry so much as the others. It was a one person venture, mostly.

European Paper (http://europeanpaper.com) (out of Boulder, Colorado) sells some very nice fine stationery like Amalfi. This stuff is expensive, but surprisingly rich to use. I was afraid my letters wouldn't get through, but they did. I won't stock up on it, though. They have other interesting papers to check out, though. They also carry G.Lalo and Rhodia, and many of the expected notebooks.

Most the printers near me are rather... well, not anyone I'm likely to use soon. I'm pretty set for paper at the moment (I hoard), but I think I'll put a dollar or two away here and there and save up for a virtual visit to Piccolo Press (Scotland) for engraved stationery, eventually. I've craved their paper since Chemyst reviewed them a long time ago elsewhere.
