WTB, BTW etc...etc... When you new to all this it seems like a foreign language. Is there a glossary anywhere to help all those of us with no idea what these shorthand letters mean?:(

WTB IS WANT TO BUY
WTT IS WANT TO TRADE

I do not know where you came up with BTW other than in a conversation BTW would mean by the way..... hope this is useful

Well, there are items that might be specific to a fountain pen group, but many could be found out by typing into Google, say for instance, "definition: BTW" (without the quotes). More often than not, it will lead you to a site that can answer many of them. A good one to start at is Internet Slang (http://www.internetslang.com/).

Of course, there are items that you run across here, like NOS (new old stock), or BCHR (black chased hard rubber). For pen terms (others can feel free to add here), you should always make a check at Richard Binder's Glossopedia of Pen Terms (http://www.richardspens.com/ref/glossary/00_gls.htm).

After that, just ask! Most people will be happy to help, and most of the time you'll get an answer right away. On the other hand, YMMV (your mileage may vary). :)

Thanks so much, I don't text at all so my knowledge of internet slang is none existent. Your responses have helped me start to decipher things. In my day it was SWALK. :)
