I have two Pilot Prera Iro-ais (demonstrators). The black one has the usual tinted transparent ends to the barrel and the cap and the usual dot-pattern cap band. This pen matches all the others that I've seen previously and currently for sale. The second, with lime green trim, has solid coloured ends to the barrel and cap and a different cap band design. I haven't seen this before. The other difference is that the black one has the Con-50 with the metal "disrupter", whilst the lime green one has the older(?) Con-50 without this.

Does anyone have any information about the unusual lime green Iro-ai? I was wondering whether it is a superseded, or LE model, perhaps one only available in Japan? I can't find anything about this anywhere.

thanks

I'm curious, where and when did you buy each pen?

The black standard one was from an Amazon trader (Santa Trading) in Japan, who does very good prices on Pilots, but they are widely available. I picked up the non-standard one on eBay.

Love that green one, all the ones I've seen were transparent green.

It's the older series circa 2010.

There were 25 different colors.

Thank you! I thought it might be an older model because of the type of Con-50 it is fitted with. What lovely colours. I've never seen any others like this for sale so I assume they were limited to sale in Japan?
